Old Boys

At Iona College, our Old Boys are a vital part of our enduring community. Your journey as a student may have ended, but your role in shaping the future of Iona has only just begun.

We warmly invite you, as an Old Boy, to give back to your school and share the unique experiences that make you a part of our history. Whether as a mentor guiding the next generation, a coach inspiring our athletes, a career advisor providing invaluable insights, or simply by sharing your story, your involvement enriches our community in countless ways.

The collective knowledge and diverse experiences of Iona’s past students are an invaluable strength and asset. By staying connected, you not only help current Ionian students to grow and thrive, but you also reinforce the spirit of brotherhood and tradition that defines our College.

Together, we ensure that the values and mission of Iona College endure, bridging generations and fostering a legacy of excellence and service. Join us in continuing the story of Iona—your contributions make a difference.

Parents and Friends Association

Iona College recognises the integral role our parents play as partners in their children’s education.

The P&F at Iona works closely with our College to build and nurture a strong school community.

When parents and the school work together, we can ensure that the Vision and Mission of the College is compatible with that of our families and broader community.

Generating funds for school initiatives is another way the P&F work together to benefit our students.

Our regular meetings are held on the first Monday of each month (during term time only) and take place in the Heritage Room at 6.30pm.

Meetings are also live streamed for access only by parents and guardians.

These meetings give direct access for two-way feedback with the Rector (Fr Joe Antony OMI), the Principal (Mr Trevor Goodwin) and guest speakers from the College Leadership Team.

COMMITTEE DETAILS & CONTACTS

Volunteer

Since 1957, Iona has relied on the support and wonderful generosity of our parents and friends, in partnership with the Oblate community, to create the outstanding campus and community we are so fortunate to share today.

For more than 65 years, the contribution of volunteers has allowed Iona to provide the extensive educational and co-curricular programs for the benefit of our students. We are grateful to the families who contribute their time and talents to support the growth of our students through the many volunteering opportunities available every year.

The College understands that some of our families are not able to commit to the volunteering opportunities available across the year. Iona provides the option of a $150 Commitment Levy that can be paid in lieu of volunteering, which will be applied to the tuition fee account in Term 4 for families unable to volunteer.

You can read all about the volunteering opportunities at the College by reading the Iona Volunteer Handbook.
